RISE Community Collaborators

Isela González Isela González leads the HIV education efforts in the Jailed Women and HIV Education project. Ms. González is the HIV Counseling, Testing and Linkages Coordinator at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, Forensic AIDS Project, a division of Jail Health Services. She has eleven years’ experience delivering HIV prevention and health education services to adults incarcerated in the San Francisco County Jails. As a bilingual, bicultural Latina and a longtime resident of San Francisco, Ms. González brings life experience and a genuine interest in improving the lives of the underserved members of her community living in San Francisco to her work. Her collaboration with Jessica Fields and RISE is a result of a mutual interest in conducting research while simultaneously positively impacting the lives of incarcerated women.
