Welcome to the Center for Research
on Gender and Sexuality!

CRGS Research Faculty members conduct projects examining a wide range of subjects including sexual health, gender equality, health disparities and HIV prevention.

Current CRGS research topics include:

  • Gay male couples, the sexual agreements made within their relationships, and how this relates to HIV safety
  • The impact of parenting on the health and well-being of gay men.
  • An examination of the ways in which people make sense of and give meaning to their experiences of intimacy in long-term relationships, and how aspects of people’s relationship stories can predict relational and psychological well-being.
  • Latina and African-American women’s experiences with gender, religion and HIV prevention.

The impact of CRGS's work is far reaching. Our researchers consistently garner professional recognition and our work has contributed significantly to the national and international sexual research agenda.

Please take a look around our site to get an in-depth look at current projects, keep up-to-date on center events such as our monthly Gender and Sexuality Seminar Series, and consider making a secure, tax-deductable donation in support of the cutting edge sexuality research we foster at our center.
